Outbound Shipper

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Outbound Shipper to join a warehouse team in Jacksonville. In this role, you will prepare outgoing orders, verify shipment accuracy, and help ensure customers receive their materials on time and in good condition.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of shipping experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage daily shipping priorities in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer orders, pick tickets, and packing lists to identify shipping requirements.

• Pick and verify products, quantities, and part numbers before packing.

• Inspect outgoing merchandise for damage and report discrepancies before shipment.

• Pack, wrap, label, and secure orders to help prevent damage during transportation.

• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required documents.

• Use shipping software and warehouse systems to process orders and update shipment information.

• Coordinate outgoing shipments and carrier pickups with warehouse personnel.

• Assist with staging orders and loading outgoing shipments safely.

• Maintain accurate records, including tracking information and shipment confirmations.

• Communicate shortages, incorrect items, shipping delays, and other concerns promptly.

• Keep shipping supplies stocked and the shipping area clean and organized.

• Follow warehouse safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in shipping or a warehouse role with regular outbound shipping responsibilities.

• Experience picking, packing, labeling, and preparing customer orders.

• Familiarity with shipping documentation and order-verification procedures.

• Basic computer skills and experience entering shipment information.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to order accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily shipping deadlines.

• Dependable attendance and availability for the listed schedule.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using UPS, FedEx, or similar shipping platforms.

• Familiarity with freight shipments and bills of lading.

• Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse inventory systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move packages and materials safely.

• Ability to perform regular physical warehouse duties.
