Landlord Engagement Specialist

Position Summary

Responsible for identifying housing opportunities, building relationships with housing providers, and assisting individuals in securing and maintaining stable housing. Works collaboratively with participants, landlords, and community partners to support successful tenancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing providers.
• Identify available housing opportunities and assist with applications, documentation, and move-in coordination.
• Support communication and conflict resolution between tenants and housing providers.
• Collaborate with service teams to promote housing stability.
• Conduct housing visits and unit inspections as needed.
• Provide tenant education and guidance on housing responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Basic understanding of housing practices, property management, and landlord-tenant regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and navigate challenging situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
• Relevant education and experience in housing, social services, property management, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of required background screening.

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; occasional weekend availability.
• Work Setting: Approximately 50% office-based and 50% field-based.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to travel between locations and perform occasional lifting, walking, standing, and bending.
