Job Description

Express Employment Professionals, Mississauga North, is currently seeking a COP Assembler for an elevator manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will assemble elevator car operating panels by interpreting CAD schematics and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with production and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify components and accurately interpret assembly drawings and CAD schematics.

• Assemble elevator car operating panels within specified production timelines.

• Use manual hand tools and power tools efficiently.

• Inspect assemblies visually and with designated measuring devices.

• Identify non-conforming components or products.

• Complete shop records accurately.

• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and the team leader.

• Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Follow health and safety requirements and actively participate in 5S workplace activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of assembly experience.

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in custom production or electrical manufacturing.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.

• Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to perform complex assemblies.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience in electrical fixture component manufacturing is preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance if required.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

• Afternoon shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM; Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

• Ability to handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.

• Lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs, with assistance if needed.

• May work in hot areas approximately 15% of the time.

• Noise exposure is listed as 5% in the source job description.

• Must adhere to health and safety standards and participate in 5S activities.
