Counter Sales Representative

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to assist customers, process orders, and support daily branch operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service and sales skills, as well as experience with electrical products and applications. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with customers and providing product solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone customers with product inquiries and order placement.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term customer relationships.
• Prepare quotes, process sales transactions, and follow up on customer requests.
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and job requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor inventory availability and communicate stock levels to customers.
• Support sales goals by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Process returns, exchanges, and customer concerns professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter area.
• Perform general administrative and customer support duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in counter sales, inside sales, customer service, or electrical distribution preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical products and applications is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with order entry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
