Job Description

In this role, you will set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) cutting machines to fabricate precision stainless steel components.


Pay: 20-22$
Schedule: M-F 7am - 3:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work independently to cut tubes and complete machine setups on a wide variety of specialized and production equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.

• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials as guides.

• Perform trial runs to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

• Use precision measuring tools, including dial calipers, ID gauges, thread gauges, and height gauges.

• Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and programmers to resolve machining problems.
  
  

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong ability to work independently and maintain job schedules with high attention to detail.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of machining practices, tooling applications, and precision measuring tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and basic statistical inference.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues using practical judgment.
    
    
    

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 1–3 years of related machining/cutting experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

    • Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    • Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
