CNC Machine Operator Level 1 - Day Shift

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $19 - $21/hr.

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a CNC Machine Operator Level I to their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of production machinery experience who enjoys hands-on work, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in producing quality parts. In this role, you'll operate CNC machines, inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Duties:

• Operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to manufacturing specifications

• Load and unload parts and operate assigned machines throughout the production process

• Assist with machine setups and adjust machine speeds and feeds as needed

• Use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to inspect machined parts

• Read and interpret manufacturing prints, blueprints, and work orders

• Identify and report defective materials, quality concerns, or unusual machine conditions to management

• Perform basic equipment maintenance, including identifying and replacing worn or damaged cutting tools as needed

• Keep the work area and equipment clean, organized, and safe

• Follow established safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• 1–2 years of experience operating production machinery, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proficiency using handheld measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers

• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints, blueprints, engineering drawings, and computer-generated work orders

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply common sense when addressing routine production issues

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

• Ability to recognize and report quality concerns or equipment issues

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting anything over 50 lbs. requires a two-person assist or appropriate lifting equipment

Equipment Used: CNC machines and precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers

Schedule: M - Th: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
