Salary: $20-$24/hr DOE
A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a CNC Screw Machine Operator to their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who understands the fundamentals of machining, enjoys hands-on technical work, and takes pride in producing quality parts. In this role, you'll operate multi-axis CNC screw machines, monitor machine performance, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.
Schedule: M- Th: 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Operate multi-axis CNC screw machines to produce parts according to production requirements
Monitor machine cycles and identify potential issues, including worn or damaged cutting tools
Perform tool changes and machine setup procedures as needed
Run production lots while monitoring machine operation and part quality
Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs and any machine-related issues
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Follow established procedures and support consistent production processes
1–2 years of experience operating a multi-axis CNC screw machine, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A solid understanding of basic machining fundamentals
Experience with Mastercam and G-code/M-code is a plus
Swiss-style screw machine experience is a plus
Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus
Ability to identify machine issues and recognize when cutting tools may need attention
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality-focused work
High school diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting anything over 50 lbs. requires a two-person assist or appropriate lifting equipment
Equipment Used: CNC machines and related machining tools and equipment, as needed
