Maintenance Tech I

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $25/hr

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their team! This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of building or equipment maintenance experience who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing the job right, and can stay focused while working independently. In this role, you'll help keep machinery and facility systems running smoothly through routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs while working alongside an experienced Maintenance Supervisor.

Duties:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned machinery, equipment, and building systems.

• Assist with corrective maintenance and repairs under the direction of senior maintenance team members.

• Conduct daily rounds, record equipment readings, and complete routine and special inspections.

• Identify maintenance needs and report issues that may require repair or follow-up.

• Provide hands-on support for maintenance projects as assigned.

• Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly to complete assigned work.

• Operate a forklift, or learn to operate one with training.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• 1–2 years of experience in building and/or equipment maintenance.

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

• A self-starter who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to stay focused on assigned tasks.

• Comfortable working independently while following direction and collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and ask questions when needed.

• Forklift experience preferred, or the ability and willingness to be trained.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Heavier items require a two-person assist or appropriate lifting equipment.

Equipment Used: Hand tools and other maintenance tools and equipment, as needed.
