3rd Shift Steel Fabrication/Material Handler

Salary: $23/hour

Fabrication & Material Handler:

 

A very well-known south Indy distribution center is looking for strong candidates for their fabrication and warehouse operations. This company is wanting forward thinkers, problem solvers, and candidate who is fast paced with great attention to detail.

 

Job Summary/Company Information: 

• This Company supplies raw materials (carbon, stainless steel, aluminum and red metals) to a variety of manufacturing and other industries.
• This company has been in business for over 50 years and has over 40 locations nationwide!

• Positions consist of preparing customer orders for shipment, operating heavy equipment, including overhead cranes and side load forklifts, and routine warehouse and material handling functions.

• Production openings available for skilled candidates doing machine operation of laser, plasma, saw & burning tables.

Pay/Benefits:

• Base Wage $19 + $2 Shift Differential + $2 Attendance Bonus = $23/hr
• Pay Increases can include making $26+ within first 5 years!

• 1 week PTO starts building at 90 days! 1 week at 6 months! 2 weeks at start of 2nd year!! + 40 hrs of sick time

Schedule: 

 

11:00 pm - 7:30 am Sunday –Thursday *Must train on days for first 3-4 weeks and associates will be required to work Mandatory OT along with 1st shift on Saturdays.  

 

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will be hard working, have attention to detail, an interest working in a heavy production environment.

• Must have proven longevity in previous positions, demonstrating excellent attendance

• Candidates must pass a math/ruler/fraction test in order to qualify for any possible long term opportunities. The ability to advance and move onto different positions and departments is encouraged and happens frequently.

• Must have Valid Drivers License and own transportation to and from work. 

• Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs.
