General Responsibilities

 

The Shipping Lead will be required to learn, understand, and implement shipping methods and standards designated to them by their supervisor. They must have a complete understanding of the Digital PCS shipping system and must be able to effectively QA, package, and ship orders in an accurate and timely manner. The Shipping Specialist is responsible for inspecting all materials produced to ensure that all materials meet quality expectations, and that each job meets on-time shipment. Attention to detail and strong eye for quality are required. The Shipping Specialist has the authority and obligation to reject any job they find to be below standards, and should bring all qualitative issues to the attention of the Floor Manager.

 

 

Specific Duties

 

• Inspect each job that comes to shipping for print quality, count accuracy, and order totality
• Work within the DPCS system and follow the systematic procedures for properly shipping an order
• Have an understanding of the various shipment methods and know when to use each
• Develop an understanding of proper packaging techniques set forth by Minted
• Follow the instruction given by the Team Lead in shipping. (Communication is vital to keep orders flowing on any given day)
• Be able to speak at a high knowledge level about the workflow and quality control to anybody who asks – co-worker, manager, customer, etc
• Maintain a safe working environment for other personnel and visitors
