Optometric Technician – Pascagoula, MS

Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Optometric Technician for an eye care practice in Pascagoula, MS. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and technology. Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and prepare patients for exams
• Perform pre-testing such as visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, and visual fields
• Operate diagnostic equipment such as retinal cameras and OCT
• Instill eye drops and assist the optometrist during exams
• Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Help with scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk tasks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Optometric or ophthalmic technician experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate
• Paraoptometric certification (CPO/CPOA) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with technology
• Excellent customer service skills
