A well-established recycling company in Fairfield is seeking a Customer Service Specialist. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers and providing exceptional service both in person and over the phone.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Standard hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Flexibility to start earlier as needed
• Occasional overtime of up to 30 minutes
• Must be willing to stay later when business needs require

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
• Greet customers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer questions regarding services and account information
• Receive customer payments and accurately process transactions
• Provide receipts and maintain payment records
• Resolve customer concerns and direct inquiries to the appropriate department
• Enter and update customer information in company systems
• Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers both in person and by telephone
• Experience handling cash and processing payments is a plus
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Flexible with work schedule and overtime as needed
