Job Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with company procedures while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Receiving

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage, report discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Properly label, record, and store received materials in designated locations.

Shipping

• Prepare production documentation required for assembled panels.
• Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, weighed, labeled, and documented.
• Coordinate with small parcel and freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Generate shipping documents such as packing slips and bills of lading.

Inventory & Warehouse Support

• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Monitor and order shipping and production supplies.
• Organize and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Initiate productive tasks when no assignments are given, understanding that there is always work to be done.

 

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use ERP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Valid Driver’s License and operable personal vehicle.

• Forklift certification.

Preferred

• Familiarity with common carriers and freight shipping procedures.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

• Positive, professional attitude and team-oriented mindset.

 

 

• Flexibility and willingness to perform tasks or errands outside the normal scope as required.

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Work Environment

• Warehouse and shipping dock environment.
• May require occasional overtime to meet shipping or receiving demands.
