Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Scrap Metal Yard Worker / General Laborer for a scrap metal recycling and processing company in the Miami Gardens area.
The ideal candidate must be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in an industrial environment, and capable of lifting heavy materials weighing 50 pounds or more. Candidates must speak English and be able to follow workplace safety instructions.
Sort, separate, and organize different types of scrap metal and recyclable materials.
Load, unload, lift, and move heavy metal materials throughout the yard.
Assist with receiving and processing incoming scrap metal.
Identify and separate different types of metals according to company procedures.
Maintain an organized and clean scrap yard.
Assist with weighing, stacking, and preparing materials for processing or shipment.
Use basic hand tools and material-handling equipment as instructed.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with additional general labor duties as assigned.
Must speak and understand English.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly.
Previous experience in general labor, scrap metal yards, recycling facilities, construction, or warehouse environments preferred.
Comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and industrial conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to safely handle heavy and irregularly shaped materials.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Must be available to work from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
