Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a mechanically inclined Warehouse Assembly Technician for a hands-on opportunity in South Asheville. This position involves assembling, adjusting, and repairing specialized mobility equipment, including wheelchairs. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, and taking pride in quality work.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, adjust, and repair wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.

• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly and repairs.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments.

• Receive shipments, organize parts, and maintain warehouse inventory.

• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist with other warehouse and assembly tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude required.

• Experience using hand and power tools preferred.

• Previous assembly, mechanical repair, or equipment maintenance experience preferred.

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve basic mechanical problems.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

Additional Information

This position starts with warehouse-based assembly and repair responsibilities. After successful hire by the company, the role may expand to include equipment delivery and customer visits, requiring a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
