Material Handler/Forklift

Located in Kentwood, MI

Salary: $21.00/HR

Material Handler Job Summary:

A medical company is looking for a Material Handler to join their growing team. The Material Handler will be responsible for supplying production lines, safely transferring product throughout the building, loading and unloading material all while working in a clean room environment.

Material Handler Requirements:

• Supplying production lines with material 
• Safely operating forklift and following all safety procedures surrounding operation
• Staging product as needed 
• Safely transferring product throughout the building 
• Following all specifications, department procedures, and all ISO/GMP’s
• Understanding department goals and objectives as well as participate in advancing them
• Conducting inventory, inputting materials into a custom ERP system

Schedule & Pay:

• 2^nd shift, 11:00am-7:oopm or 2:45pm-11:15pm with overtime as required.
• $21.00/HR

Material Handler Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in forklift operation
• Excellent vision, dexterity and hand eye coordination
• May be required to pass a visual inspection test
• Able to read and write English fluently to follow blueprints and dimensional callouts
• Able to sit or stand for the shift duration as required
• Able to distinguish color differences and depth perception
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work individually or in a team setting
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Experience with inventory and data entry into a custom ERP system is necessary
