Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Cleaning Specialist!

Position Summary: We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to help keep rental properties clean, welcoming, and ready for residents. This position involves cleaning common areas, preparing vacant apartments and houses for move-in, and traveling between properties throughout the day. Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean common areas of multi-family buildings to meet established cleanliness standards.
• Clean vacant apartments and houses in varying conditions and prepare them for tenant move-in.
• Pick up litter around buildings, parking lots, and fence lines.
• Prioritize daily assignments and complete cleaning tasks thoroughly and on time.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, such as slow drains or stuck windows, so they can be addressed before move-in.
• Track work hours using a GPS-enabled timekeeping app.
• Document completed work with photos and written updates through a work order system; training is provided.
• Travel between properties throughout the day; mileage is reimbursed.
• Work independently and alongside a team of two to four cleaners on larger projects.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks, such as painting, lawn care, and general labor, when applicable to your skills.

Qualifications:

• Commercial cleaning experience required; residential cleaning experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
• Smartphone capable of using timekeeping and work documentation applications.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in completing quality work.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to manage time and work independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including knowing when to ask for assistance.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 9am – 3pm

Pay:

• Starting at $15.50/hour
• Mileage reimbursement for travel between job sites
