Painters / General Laborers – Construction

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Location: Pharr, TX

Schedule: 8 days on, followed by 6 days off; Tuesday–Tuesday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Assignment Length: 4 Months

Openings: 15 positions initially, with 8 positions continuing after the first month

 

A local Truck Wash company is seeking dependable Painters / General Laborers to assist with finishing their new building project in Pharr, TX. Responsibilities will primarily involve painting concrete block surfaces, with additional duties supporting site cleanup and general construction needs as the project progresses.

 

Responsibilities:

• Paint concrete block walls and other designated surfaces.
• Mix and prepare paint for application.
• Prepare work areas and surfaces for painting.
• Perform general construction and labor tasks as assigned.
• Clean and organize the job site, including removing debris and maintaining orderly work areas.
• Assist with additional painting, cleanup, and general labor duties as the project progresses.
• Follow supervisor instructions and all applicable safety procedures.

 

Requirements:

• Previous painting, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a construction environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to but not exceeding 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working indoors/outdoors, A/C might not be installed yet.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential due to the project schedule.

 

Schedule Details:

• This assignment follows a rotating schedule of 8 consecutive workdays followed by 6 consecutive days off. Regular shifts are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential overtime based on project needs.

 

Staffing Needs:

• During the first month, 15 associates will primarily focus on block painting. For the remaining months, the team will reduce to 8 associates, who will continue painting while taking on additional site cleanup and general labor duties as needed.
• This is a temporary construction assignment expected to last approximately 4 months. Continued staffing levels and duties are subject to change as the project progresses.
