Express Employment is now hiring an Airfield Electrician for an airport facility in the West Columbia, SC area! This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting skills who enjoys working with a variety of electrical and airfield systems.

Pay: $29.00/hour

Schedule:

Must be available for an on-call rotation, after-hours maintenance, and emergency response as assigned.

Job Duties:

-Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair runway and taxiway lighting, airfield signage, and facility lighting

-Inspect, test, and maintain Airport-owned navigational aids (NAVAIDs)

-Repair electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, controls, vehicle gates, and related equipment

-Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders and maintenance records

-Follow applicable FAA requirements, electrical codes, and safety procedures

-Assist with general facility maintenance, storm response, and emergency operations as needed

Requirements:

-Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and repair practices

-Working knowledge of airfield lighting, signage, and navigational aids

-Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals

-Experience safely using electrical testing equipment, hand and power tools, and lifts

-Knowledge of electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety practices

-Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

-Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work outdoors, at heights, and in restricted spaces

-Availability to participate in on-call coverage and after-hours emergency response
