Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Electrical Technician for our client located in North Tonawanda, NY. This company is a supplier of industrial equipment.

In this role you would be responsible for testing, assembly and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment. Maintaining quality control procedures, assisting in assembly of some products, working on large machinery/equipment  as well as maintaining and troubleshooting machines or issues in the manufacturing process.

 

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm  

Payrate: $23-25/hr based on experience

 

Job Duties:

• Inspect electrical/electronic systems and components to identify hazards and/or defects Be capable of using electrical testing equipment such as, multi-meters and oscilloscopes
• Assembling electronic components together and perform quality control testing to ensure proper assembly and operation
• Able to troubleshoot electrical issues on various machinery (such as, sensors, PLC, limit switches, proximity switches, relays and other misc. electronic components)
• Understanding of basic circuit parameters and microprocessors
• Responsible for overviewing and helping laborers assemble products
• Work with engineers on various projects as well as revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures, as needed
• Inspect and monitor all products to ensure they are produced according to specifications/standards
• Able to perform maintenance on machinery according to specifications

 

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience
• Soldering experience required
• Programming experience a plus
• Basic knowledge on printed circuit boards  (PCB)
• Basic Knowledge Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Good technical background and able to work with various hard and various electrical tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 40-50 lbs
• Able to work independently and follow written and oral instructions
• Able to work effectively with team members at all levels
• Strong math and problem solving skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
• Basic knowledge of NECC
• Good communication skills

 

Education Requirements:

• High school graduate with Technical Program Education
• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (or related field) a plus but not required
