Manufacturing Assembler / Forklift Operator
A growing manufacturing facility in Chester, SC is hiring a Manufacturing Assembler / Forklift Operator to assist with the fabrication and assembly of wastewater treatment units. Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Assembler / Forklift Operator
- Operate a sit-down forklift to retrieve and transport materials throughout the facility
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble products according to blueprints and drawings
- Fabricate and assemble wastewater treatment equipment and systems
- Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and production instructions
- Gather, organize, and stage materials for production
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with general manufacturing and production duties as needed
Qualifications
Manufacturing Assembler / Forklift Operator
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools required
- Prior manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, construction, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow drawings, blueprints, or work instructions
- Forklift experience is a plus; training may be provided
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
