Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking dependable, detailed-oriented Assemblers for a growing company in New Hartford, CT! This position involves assembling mechanical components and subassemblies used in industrial power transmission equipment, including gearboxes and speed reducers. The ideal candidate has good mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing quality products.

Schedule:  Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

Pay:  $17-$19

Work Environment:  Manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete production tasks.
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Verify components and materials before beginning assembly.
• Follow established production procedures and meet quality and productivity standards.
• Identify and report defective parts, assembly issues, or equipment problems.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to safety and quality.
