Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their team in Bridgeport, WV. This position plays a vital role in ensuring products are shipped accurately, inventory records are maintained, and customer orders are processed efficiently.
Shipping Clerk Responsibilities
- Prepare shipping paperwork, bills of lading, labels, and related documentation
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with carriers and drivers
- Schedule freight pickups and deliveries
- Track shipments and maintain accurate shipping records
- Receive inbound deliveries and verify shipment accuracy
- Enter shipping and inventory data into company systems
- Assist with resolving shipping discrepancies and delivery issues
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or distribution
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with shipping software, UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, or warehouse management systems is a plus
