About the Opportunity

An established law firm is seeking a Family Law Litigation Attorney to join its team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, handling family law matters, and representing clients throughout the litigation process.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and related domestic issues.

• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.

• Manage cases from initial consultation through resolution.

• Communicate with clients regarding case progress, options, and next steps.

• Negotiate settlements when appropriate while preparing cases for litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active license and good standing with the West Virginia State Bar.

• Experience handling family law matters and litigation.

• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work independently.

• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
