QC Panel Spray Tech I

Salary: 18.00 + Bonuses

General Summary:  The QC Panel Spray Tech I position is an entry level position where the fundamentals of the position and function of the department are learned. The Tech I position supports the QC department by spraying out QC panels for inspection to ensure the quality of product from specific orders.

Essential Job Functions: 

• Take direction from QC Lab Supervisor
• Learn the proper operation of the Nordson Encore spray gun, curing ovens including routine maintenance.
• Possess the ability to adapt spraying technique and gun settings for various powder coating types.
• Achieve base level spray out goals. 

Marginal Job Functions:

• Effectively communicate equipment or powder concerns to the QC Lab Supervisor.
• Occasional assistance in the swatch production as needed.
• Routinely clean work area to avoid contamination issues.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Strong communication skills are imperative
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work.
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must pass a respirator fit test.
