Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (Swing Shift)

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Grind & Deburr Operator for a manufacturing company in Clackamas, OR. This hands-on position involves grinding, deburring, and inspecting metal components used in industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a physical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate air-powered grinding tools to remove excess material and meet specifications.

• Grind, deburr, and finish metal components according to production requirements.

• Read and follow work instructions, shop routers, and technical documentation.

• Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and scales.

• Inspect completed parts to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and monitor fluid and oil levels.

• Report equipment malfunctions or quality concerns to supervisors.

• Operate forklifts and lifting equipment as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous manufacturing, grinding, deburring, or metalworking experience preferred.

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments preferred.

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and technical documentation.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to wear a respirator and required personal protective equipment.

• Comfortable working around machinery, airborne particles, and loud equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule

Swing Shift – Monday through Friday

• Monday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Thursday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Friday: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Saturday: Off

• Sunday: Off
