About the Position:

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Temporary Shipping Clerk to provide coverage during an employee’s paternity leave. This position is based in Hillsboro and is ideal for an experienced shipping professional who can help ensure customer orders are accurately packaged, labeled, and shipped on schedule while assisting with receiving and inventory duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, package, and label customer orders for shipment and local delivery.
Use UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager to process outbound shipments.
Review work orders and coordinate with Quality Control to prioritize shipments.
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips, checking quantities and part numbers.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and organizing incoming materials.
Perform protective packaging, including bagging, boxing, shrink-wrapping, palletizing, and banding.
Stock and organize inventory to maintain accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Communicate with team members, management, customers, and delivery personnel to resolve shipping issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Assist with additional warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

3–4 years of shipping experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common shipping platforms.
Experience with customer shipping portals preferred.
Ability to interpret blueprints highly preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, reliability, consistent attendance, and a good work ethic.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
