Job Title: Industrial Cleaner / Light Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $18.00+ / hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Industrial Cleaner / Light Maintenance Technician to join our team in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient industrial environment. Ideal candidates have a strong attention to detail, experience with general upkeep or facilities maintenance, and a proactive attitude toward workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industrial Cleaning: Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and power washing industrial floors, machinery, and work areas.

• Waste Management: Safely empty trash receptacles, handle scrap materials, and manage industrial waste disposal according to safety guidelines.

• Facility Upkeep: Maintain restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas to high sanitation standards.

• Light Maintenance: Assist with minor building repairs, replacing light fixtures, basic troubleshooting, and general upkeep of tools and equipment.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA standards, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and immediately report any maintenance or safety hazards to management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or light facility maintenance preferred.

• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, pressure washers, etc.).

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools for light maintenance tasks.

• Physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
