Position Details

Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Bellingham, Ferndale, & Lynden Area
Pay: $26.00–$35.00/HR DOE
 

What You'll Do

Measure, cut, thread, groove, and solvent-weld CPVC and PEX piping systems according to fire sprinkler system specifications
Read and interpret residential blueprints, floor plans, engineering drawings, and structural details
Install main risers, branch lines, and drop-down nipples in residential construction projects
Secure piping using approved structural hangers and seismic bracing
Perform hydrostatic and air pressure testing to verify system integrity prior to drywall installation
Install sprinkler heads, escutcheons, and cover plates during final trim stages
Travel to local residential job sites throughout Whatcom County
Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
 

What We're Looking For

Valid Washington State Patrol Residential Sprinkler Fitter (Cert 2) certification required
Residential fire sprinkler installation experience
Working knowledge of NFPA 13D and NFPA 13R standards
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
Proficiency with pipe cutters, hand tools, cordless power tools, and CPVC installation procedures
Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and in confined attic or joist spaces
Ability to lift and carry 60+ lbs. regularly
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
