Hod Carrier

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Hod Carrier for a local masonry company. This is a hands-on labor position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled construction team. No experience is required, but candidates with masonry or construction experience may be considered for higher pay.

Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Support bricklayers and masons by preparing and delivering materials throughout the workday
• Mix mortar and maintain a steady supply of materials for masonry crews
• Transport bricks, blocks, and mortar using a handheld hod and scaffolding
• Set up and organize work areas to promote an efficient workflow
• Assist with cutting bricks and other basic masonry tasks
• Perform general labor duties, including job site cleanup
• Assist with re-pointing and jointing work as needed

Qualifications

• No experience required - willing to train the right candidate
• Reliable, hardworking, and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Construction or masonry experience is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, including bricks and mortar
• Comfortable climbing scaffolding and working at heights
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
