Mechanical Engineer

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Mechanical Engineer II for a local manufacturing client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking projects from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $80,000 - $95,000/year
Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complete 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
• Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production-ready documentation
• Collaborate with electrical, IT, production, and project management teams throughout the design process
• Perform engineering analysis, stress calculations, and product testing to validate designs
• Support product improvements, design changes, and manufacturing optimization
• Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to obtain specifications and troubleshoot design issues
• Ensure projects are completed accurately and within established timelines
• Assist with technical drawings and models for proposals and new projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited preferred)
• 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks modeling, drawings, and file management
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product design principles
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments
• Limited travel may be required
