Installer (Welding, Assembly)

Salary: $24-27/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Installer for our client located in Buffalo, NY. This company specializes in supplying and installing premium truck equipment. This is an excellent temp to hire opportunity, or direct hire for the right candidate!

 

As an Installer, you will be responsible for installing plows, van equipment, aftermarket truck equipment, 12-volt lighting and electrical systems. We are looking for a skilled candidate with a high level of transferrable skills and ability. Prior truck equipment and automotive experience is a plus!

 

Shift: Monday through Friday, between 7:00am-4:30pm  

Payrate: $24-27/hr

 

Job Duties:

• Assemble and install equipment such as service bodies, platforms, van packages, hoists, electrical components and circuits, shelving and drawer systems, ladder racks, and other mechanical items under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble/install equipment and products.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Complete all necessary documentation promptly.
• Confer with the supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

 

Requirements:

• Must have basic mechanical and/or electrical skills and be able to operate hand and power tools.
• Welding experience required (both MIG & TIG)
• Must have own tools.
• Good vision, ability to follow oral and written instructions; detail oriented and organized; self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to remember multiple tasks and communicate verbally and in writing.

 

Physical Environment:

• Majority of time spent standing on hard surface, with substantial amount of pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Position requires ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds, perform mechanical/ installation skills and hand-eye coordination skills, walk, and stand for prolonged periods, see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
