GIS / Platting Technician
Location: Nampa, ID
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $22-$26/hour DOE
Status: Full-Time

 

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS / Platting Technician to support property records, mapping, and GIS operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate parcel and property information, updating GIS databases, reviewing plats and legal descriptions, and assisting with mapping projects that support District operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update property, parcel, and mapping records.
• Review plat maps, deeds, surveys, and legal descriptions for accuracy.
• Track subdivisions, ownership changes, parcel splits, and new developments.
• Create, edit, and maintain GIS data using ArcGIS Pro and related software.
• Prepare maps, reports, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
• Verify property boundaries and resolve discrepancies between records.
• Assist with GIS data management, quality assurance, and special projects.
• Coordinate with staff regarding property records, water rights, drainage rights, and infrastructure information.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records related to maps, plats, deeds, and surveys.

 

Qualifications

• GIS, Geography, Surveying, or related education and/or experience preferred.
• Experience with GIS mapping, surveying, land records, property records, or land development preferred.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro required; Parcel Fabric experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, surveys, deeds, legal descriptions, and engineering documents.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and data-entry skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
