Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Estimator with a strong background in commercial construction, specifically metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS).

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing commercial construction projects from initial estimating and bidding through project completion. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, material takeoffs, and competitive bids for commercial construction projects.

• Manage projects involving metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, and EIFS.

• Oversee projects from preconstruction through final completion.

• Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and field personnel.

• Monitor project budgets, schedules, labor costs, and profitability.

• Manage change orders, contracts, and project documentation.

• Maintain communication with clients, general contractors, and project teams.

• Ensure projects meet safety regulations, quality standards, and deadlines.

• Oversee commercial construction projects within approximately 200 miles of Abilene, TX.

• Assist with smaller general contracting projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in both construction project management and estimating is required.

• Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall, ceilings, and EIFS.

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects and performing material takeoffs.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.

• Strong understanding of construction costs, scheduling, and project budgeting.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency with construction estimating and project management software preferred.

• Experience working with commercial general contractors and subcontractors.

Compensation & Benefits
