Press Brake Operator

Location: Fergus, ON
Pay Rate: $21.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Press Brake Operator to join a steel fabrication team in Fergus, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual with experience operating press brake equipment who takes pride in producing quality work and working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC or mechanical press brake equipment to bend and form steel components.

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, job instructions, and production specifications.

• Use measuring tools, including calipers, tape measures, and squares, to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Monitor product quality, identify issues, and perform basic equipment adjustments as required.

• Assist with sorting, packaging, staging, and moving materials throughout production.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of press brake operating experience preferred; mechanical press brake experience will also be considered.

• Experience in manufacturing, steel fabrication, or a similar production environment.

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and use measuring tools accurately.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

• Forklift experience is an asset.

• Familiarity with SolidWorks drawings or Metalix and other nesting software is an asset.

• Reliable transportation to the Fergus facility and a strong attendance record.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and safely handle steel materials.

• Candidates must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment and following workplace safety procedures.
