CAD Drafter

Salary: up to $24 p/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join a growing manufacturing team. This position focuses on creating CAD shop drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) for fabrication orders involving piping systems and pipe supports. This is a great opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who enjoys technical drawings, problem-solving, and working with a team to bring projects from design to fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CAD shop drawings and bills of materials for fabrication orders.

• Develop and maintain 2D CAD drawings and models.

• Work with piping systems, structural steel, and pipe support designs.

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.

• Apply knowledge of dimensions, geometry, and structural design principles.

• Coordinate with team members to answer technical questions and resolve drawing issues.

• Manage project priorities and meet deadlines.

• Follow applicable industry standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Understanding of 2D drawings and the ability to visualize parts and components in 3D.

• Knowledge of structural steel design and AISC standards is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Recent graduates with relevant CAD coursework, project experience, or familiarity with AISC standards are encouraged to apply.
