Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Falconer, NY client. Our client is looking for a FA Techinician.
We are seeking a detail-oriented PPAP/FAI Technician to support quality assurance and manufacturing validation processes. This role is responsible for preparing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, supporting Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions, and ensuring all documentation and inspections validate manufacturing processes and meet customer quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing quality, blueprint reading, and precision measurement techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete detailed First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, including dimensional layouts and measurement data.
- Submit completed FAI documentation to Quality Engineers for review and PPAP approval.
- Support PPAP submissions by ensuring all customer-specific and internal documentation requirements are met.
- Collect and organize measurement data, capability studies, and MSA (Gage R&R) results.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
- Perform precision inspections using various measuring tools and equipment.
- Verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inspection and quality processes.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality control, inspection, or a related field.
- Experience with close-tolerance parts, metal machining, stamping, or fabrication environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Knowledge of precision measurement and inspection techniques.
- ASQ certifications such as CQT, CQA, or CQE are a plus.

Hours are M-F 8 am to 430 pm and pay is between $26-$29/hr.
