Picking Associate

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM
Type: Weekend Opportunity (Semi Part-Time/Semi Full-Time)

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Picking Associate to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for accurately picking and fulfilling small-parcel orders using handheld scanners while supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and fulfill customer orders
• Use handheld scanners to locate and process inventory
• Verify products and quantities before shipment
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations
• Support daily warehouse operations and productivity goals
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Work effectively with team members to meet order deadlines
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, pulling, and other repetitive movements
• Ability to lift up to 5 pounds regularly
• Ability to safely use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and handheld scanners
• Ability to read labels and instructions accurately
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment throughout the shift

Additional Information:

• Weekend schedule: Friday-Sunday
• Three 12.5-hour shifts per week
