We are currently seeking CDL Drivers for a client of ours located in Beloit, a distributor of manufacturing supplies.

 

The role will involve delivery driving to customer locations in southern WI and northern IL.

 

This is an evaluation - hire role, with a great employer who offers day shift, no evenings or weekends, and full benefits upon hire.

 

Job Duties:

 

 • Organize customer paperwork and fill out delivery and other reports

• In conjunction with Transportation Manager, review and determine daily delivery priorities • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers and complete inspection logs

• Safely load compressed gas cylinders, dry ice totes, and other products onto vehicles

• Prepare truck load manifests and deliver products to customer locations while abiding to load safety, DOT, and general safety guidelines

• Verify delivery quantities, obtain necessary signatures from vendors and customers

• Communicate respectfully and professionally to customers and all business associates and report all concerns to the appropriate manager (s)

• Monitor customer deliveries and returns using TrackAbout and other systems • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of assigned vehicles

 

Qualifications

• CDL A or B license
• Previous warehouse, forklift, and driving experience and safe driving record
• Be mentally alert, adaptable, flexible, and professional in dealing with customer needs
• Effectively plan and organize delivery schedules
• Be fluent in the English language and written communication (Spanish as a second language a plus.)

 

Schedule Day shift, Mon - Fri, typically 5:30am start time and 8-10 hour shifts depending on route

 

Pay:  Around $24/hour depending on experience.  Higher pay will be considered for those with strong driving experience.
