Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for preparing materials for shipment, operating a forklift, and ensuring products are loaded and organized accurately for transport. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical warehouse duties throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials and products for outgoing shipments
• Label and shrink-wrap products for transport
• Organize and stage shipments for pickup and delivery
• Load products onto trucks using a forklift
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations
• Verify materials and shipments for accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience required
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable and safety-conscious
• Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
• Frequent kneeling, bending, stooping, and twisting
• Ability to load, unload, and move materials safely
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
