Senior Accountant

Salary: $45.00 to $48.00/hour

Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing consumer products company in the Irvine, CA area. This is a full-time, contract opportunity with the potential for permanent employment. Compensation starts at $45.00 to $48.00/hour.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
• Manage payroll accounting activities across multiple business units
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain supporting documentation
• Process and account for intercompany and interdepartmental transfer transactions
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Support internal and external audit activities
• Assist with accounting process improvements and special projects

 

Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Payroll accounting background
• Month-end close and account reconciliation experience
• Knowledge of intercompany and/or interdepartmental transfer transactions
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite, SAP, or Navision preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
