Small Parts Inspector and Assembly

Salary: $20/hr

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Final Inspection & Assembly Associates for a well-established contract manufacturer. Our client produces a wide variety of precision parts, and this role is the last set of eyes before product ships to the customer. If you take pride in getting the details right and enjoy steady, hands-on work in a seated position, this is a great fit.

 

What You’ll Do

Visually inspect finished parts for surface defects such as scratches, dents, burrs, discoloration, and finish inconsistencies
Compare parts against work instructions, samples, or prints to confirm they meet quality standards
Perform final assembly of small components, including fitting, fastening, and inserting hardware by hand or with small hand tools
Clean parts to remove oils, debris, and fingerprints before packaging
Prepare finished parts for packaging by sorting, counting, labeling, and staging
Separate and tag nonconforming parts and report quality issues to your lead
Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe
Accurately complete production and inspection paperwork

 

What We’re Looking For

Strong attention to detail and good near vision (corrective lenses OK)
Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for handling small parts
Comfortable sitting for most of the shift and performing repetitive tasks
Able to stay focused and consistent on quality over a full shift
Basic reading and math skills for work instructions and part counts
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Prior inspection, assembly, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Training is provided.

 

Physical Requirements

Seated work at a bench or table for extended periods
Repetitive hand and wrist motion

 

Schedule is Monday-Friday. 1st shift hours. $20/hr
