About the Role

A growing environmental testing and technical services company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented General Technician to support laboratory operations, sample processing, equipment preparation, shipping and receiving, quality control, and customer support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming air sampling media, equipment, and customer documentation
• Prepare, assemble, package, and ship air sampling kits, materials, and testing equipment
• Load, weigh, and prepare air sampling filters for shipment and analysis
• Clean, inspect, assemble, and maintain sampling equipment and laboratory materials
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory, and supply organization activities
• Accurately enter customer information, testing data, and documentation into company systems
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of records and paperwork
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces while following established procedures and standards
• Assist customers with information and support related to testing activities
• Participate in on-site air testing activities at customer facilities as needed

Success in the Role

During the first 90 days, you will:

• Learn the company's equipment preparation, sample processing, and quality control procedures
• Demonstrate accuracy and consistency when handling laboratory materials and documentation
• Become proficient with data entry systems and customer record management
• Independently prepare and process testing kits and customer materials
• Successfully support laboratory and field operations while maintaining high quality standards

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to perform repetitive hands-on work while maintaining quality standards
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor
• Willingness to learn technical procedures and follow documented processes
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 1-2 business days per week when needed
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Round Rock, TX

Preferred

• Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, production, warehouse, or technical environment
• Shipping and receiving experience
• Inventory management or equipment preparation experience
• Experience with quality control procedures or technical documentation
• Customer service experience
• Prior experience working with samples, testing equipment, or laboratory materials

Compensation & Benefits

• $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience
