Now Hiring: Cook / Production Cook

Location: Northwest Knoxville, TN
Industry: Food Production
Shift: Monday–Saturday, 1:00 PM until finish (10–12-hour shifts)
Pay: $18.00 per hour

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Production Cook to join a fast-paced food manufacturing team. This role supports the Lead Cook, oversees the cooking process, and ensures recipes, quality standards, and food safety procedures are followed throughout production.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Lead Cook during daily production

• Oversee the cooking process from start to finish

• Follow recipes accurately to ensure product consistency

• Direct team members in properly loading ingredients into industrial kettles

• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and product quality

• Maintain accurate cooking time and temperature logs

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards

• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Good math skills and attention to detail

• Organizational and leadership abilities

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance

• Stand, walk, and work for extended periods

• Work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
