  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements
  • Supervise administrative staff and coordinate staffing needs with technical leaders
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and staff accountability

  • Manage software vendors, subscriptions, and technology support providers
  • Help implement new software and workflow tools
  • Train employees on the effective use of new systems
  • Support procedures that protect confidential client information

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of operations, practice management, or office leadership experience
  • Experience managing employees, workflows, and competing deadlines
  • Experience in a CPA firm, accounting firm, or professional-services environment is preferred
  • Understanding of accounting firm operations, including tax-season demands, billing, and client confidentiality

  • Able to establish expectations and follow through on accountability
  • Confident learning and implementing new technology
  • Skilled at balancing efficiency, accuracy, client service, and employee support
