Tooling Technician / Mold Repair Technician – Manufacturing

Shifts Available: 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift

Are you mechanically inclined and experienced in tool repair, mold maintenance, CNC machining, or industrial tooling?

A growing manufacturing company in Georgetown, TX is looking for a skilled Tooling Technician / Mold Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production tools and molds.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in tool and die, mold making, machining, or manufacturing maintenance who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and keeping production equipment running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing tools and molds.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep tooling in excellent working condition.
• Assist with tool building, mold repairs, and minor engineering modifications.
• Operate machining equipment, including CNC machines, EDM equipment, and milling machines.
• Read and interpret tooling blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Identify tooling issues and assist with repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Work with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and tooling changes.
• Keep tools, replacement parts, and work areas organized.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in tooling maintenance, mold repair, tool and die, or mold making.
• Hands-on experience with CNC, EDM, and milling equipment.
• Ability to read and understand tooling blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
• Must have a personal toolbox with basic mold-making and repair tools.
• Experience in plastic injection molding or automotive manufacturing is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work with tools throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to follow OSHA and workplace safety guidelines.
