Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a residential property maintenance opportunity in Plant City, FL.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and basic repairs. This position involves maintaining residential units, completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring properties remain in good condition.
Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant residential units.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, water heaters, and minor leaks.
Complete basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and filter replacements.
Handle carpentry repairs involving doors, locks, cabinets, drywall, and trim.
Repair or replace appliances as needed.
Prepare vacant units for new occupants, including painting, patching, and general repairs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and building inspections.
Assist with maintaining common areas, exterior spaces, and property grounds.
Respond to maintenance requests and assist with emergency repairs when necessary.
Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Minimum 2 years of experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.
Experience with residential or apartment maintenance is a plus.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
EPA certification is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work.
Availability for occasional after-hours emergency maintenance, as needed.
