A local manufacturing company in Ocala is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Packaging Operator to join their team. This position involves inspecting finished products, clipping panels, verifying order quantities, and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate has warehouse or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Inspect finished products for damage, defects, and quality issues.
Clip panels and verify product dimensions, quantities, and order information.
Match products against packing slips and ensure shipment accuracy.
Package and crate products using appropriate protective materials.
Secure, label, and organize completed shipments.
Take photos of products and completed shipments as required.
Identify and report discrepancies before orders are shipped.
Assist with loading, unloading, and other production duties as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, packaging, or material-handling experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn different production tasks and assist other departments.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
Ability to lift and move panels and packaging materials within established safety requirements.
Comfort working around manufacturing equipment, forklifts, trucks, noise, and dust.
Ability to handle large or awkward materials with assistance when needed.
