Collections Specialist

Bloomington, IL | $21.00/HR | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Are you a customer-focused professional with collections or customer service experience? We're seeking a Collections Specialist to join a growing team where you'll play a key role in maintaining customer accounts, resolving payment issues, and delivering exceptional service.

What You'll Do:

• Post customer payments and account adjustments accurately and on time.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and mail regarding outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Maintain detailed account records and collection notes.
• Work with customers to establish payment solutions and resolve concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure account accuracy.
• Provide outstanding customer service while meeting collection objectives.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, or a related field.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and courteously.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
