Maintenance Technician

Located in Roanoke, VA

Salary: $19-21/hr.

A Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping apartments, rental properties, and common areas safe, clean, and in good working condition.

Typical Duties:

• Complete general maintenance and repair work
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Repair drywall, doors, locks, fixtures, and other property items
• Complete work orders and respond to maintenance requests
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants (turnovers/make-readies)
• Perform basic painting, patching, and minor carpentry
• Inspect the property and identify needed repairs
• Maintain common areas and exterior spaces as needed
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Respond to occasional emergency maintenance issues

Basic Qualifications: General maintenance experience, basic knowledge of plumbing/electrical repairs, ability to use tools, dependable transportation, and the ability to work independently.
